Unlicensing Your Game

Unlicensing Your Game

If you want to remove OOTP or FHM from one of your computers, you should unlicense it first or else you'll tie up one of your activations on a computer that's not even being used to play the game. Here's how to unlicense:

OOTP 20+ (PC/MAC) & FHM 6+
  1. For users who have purchased a FastSpring license key there is a license management support page you can use to assist with unlicensing your OOTP/FHM game. https://qlm1.net/ootpdevelopments/qlmcustomersite/ use this site to get to our support page.
  2. On that support page you will start by going to "get license information" and enter your license key.
  3. The site will show you all of the activations currently registered on your license key.
  4. You will need to find the computer you wish to remove from your license and copy the computer ID it lists for that computer.
  5. Then proceed to the "deactivate a license" feature back at the previous page to remove that computer from your list. That will then open that activation slot to allow you to activate the license on a new device.
OOTP 11-20 (PC/Mac, Linux) & FHM 1-5 :
  1. For people who own an eSellerate License for OOTP 11-20 or FHM 1-5 please open up a support ticket and reach out to us.

OOTP 10 and earlier (on a PC), do the following:

  1. Right-click the game icon and choose "properties" at the bottom.
  2. In the "target" box, add a blank space and then "-unlicense" without the quotes to the end. For example, if it says "G:\OOTP X\ootp10.exe", then change that to "G:\OOTP X\ootp10.exe" -unlicense.

If the game is not installed for you to unlicense it or if the above doesn't help, open up a support ticket.
